Interviewed by Christer Dahlin, Pamela K. McClain tells how she actually started with dental hygiene and later on was inspired to save teeth. Despite being the daughter of the famous Robert Schallhorn, she never felt any pressure to follow his path to become a periodontist. However, once she got passionate about this field, nothing could stop her from making a significant contribution and becoming one of the world's most influential periodontists.
